ABA Therapy

At Social Pediatric Therapy, our ABA Therapy goes Beyond Just Words. ABA is not just about helping children learn verbal communication—it’s about understanding the entire spectrum of behavior. From the smallest hand gesture to a full-on conversation, behavior is the key to learning, growth, and development. ABA focuses on positive reinforcement, teaching new skills, and reducing challenging behaviors, but it also recognizes that communication is more than just speech. Whether your child communicates through facial expressions, body language, or a unique set of behaviors, we work to interpret and support every form of expression.

Our Pediatric ABA
Therapy Services

Each team member, operates within the child-led, play-based framework and can include:
- Behavior Technicians
- Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)
- ABA Fieldwork Students

We prioritize individualized child-led, play-based sessions which incorporate evidence-based interventions such as:
- Natural Environment Teaching (NET) is a method that helps children’s learn new skills in their everyday surroundings. Unlike traditional ABA teaching strategies, NET takes place in familiar places like the playground, which makes learning both fun and practical. It uses your child’s interests and favorite activities as tools to help them understand and develop new abilities, turning enjoyable experiences into opportunities for learning and growth.
- Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) involves emphasizing enjoyable and daily activities, like games and fun tasks, to optimize learning opportunities. ESDM helps enhance social, communication, and play skills in a positive and enjoyable learning experience.
- Pivotal Response Training (PRT) is like using a key to unlock different areas of learning, focusing on pivotal aspects like communication and motivation. Instead of just practicing one skill, PRT connects various skills together, making learning more natural and enjoyable while tailoring it to what matters most for your child’s progress.

Board Certified Behavior Analysts Role within ABA Therapy:
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) help by tailoring individualized ABA therapy programs and goals based on your child’s unique needs and learning styles. Our BCBAs collaborate with parents, Speech and Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists, fostering a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to Applied Behavior Analysis. This approach facilitates your child’s ability to acquire and generalize new skills across all environments, therapists, and settings.
Sensory Integration Therapy
Your child begins by joining a classroom group with peers of similar age and skills, fostering learning and play together. A typical day involves transitioning through various activities with their peer group.
Daily activities can include:
- Circle time
- Group craft activities
- Sensory room experiences
- Gym play
